My
hobby is researching North Americans long history before Columbus.
To that end, my nonfiction book is a work in progress tentatively
titled The North American Civilizations Way Before Columbus.
Yes, that needs to be refined in order to be less of a mouthful. Anyway,
believe it or not, North American around 2000 1000 BC could
have been considered a colony of the Phoenicians. They had a whole
industry going in North America which supported several cities. Then
in the early centuries of the present era - - up to about 1000 AD,
North America was a melting pot. People from Europe, North Africa,
Central America and even Japan brought their civilizations to North
American shores. They shared a religious concept. This is not speculative.
They left monuments which were not recognized as the remnants of an
ancient civilization until the late 1800s. One can touch, walk around
and climb whats left of their civilizations. Of course the Vikings
had settlements along the East coast of North America as did the Chinese
during the Ming Empire. These last two were merely colonies compared
to the civilizations before them.
The manuscript is partially complete, so stay tuned!
Hopefully it will be out with a more manageable title in late 2023
or 2024.
In the meantime, here's a short article about Newport Tower, a recent
pre-Columbus structure. It's a mystery as to who built the Tower but
cases have been made for several early visitors to North America.
All are open to debate. You can pick your own history! |
